QBC Updates!

It’s been awhile since I posted about the Quarterly Book Club however that does not mean it hasn’t been running.  A little quiet, but then, it is a Book Club in which Sam @ Poison For the Senses and I have arranged it so that readers can take part in the Quarterly reads and also go away and come back whenever they like.

With the end of February coming up, it’s almost that time of the quarter again where we must decide what to choose for the next quarter.  With so many fantasy reads–the compulsory reads for Quarter 1 of 2015 (Fantasy Reads) being Shadow and Bone  and also The Name of the Wind, the next quarter will be a nice reprieve.  Delving into a genre that Sam and I both love, Quarter 2 of 2015 will be covering YA contemporary novels.  I was so excited by this, I went a little nutty and bought two books off the shelf spontaneously, these happened to be The Last Time We Say Goodbye  by Cynthia Hand which I cannot wait to read, and The Last Leaves Falling By Sarah Benwell.  Both of which are books that were either originally on the poll list set to open in the next two days, or books added later on.  So I’m excited!

If you’re on Goodreads, and are/not in our Book Club, come join, because the Next Quarter is full of interesting contemporary reads, and whatever comes out on top as the compulsory reads will/are just two of the reads set for the Quarterly Read.  You can also choose two more books to read for the Quarter of any on the list.  And so far, we have:

~I’ll Give You The Sun
~Say What You Will
~Where Things Come Back
~Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
~The Last Leaves Falling
~This Song Will Save Your Life
~Playlist For The Dead
~Faking Normal
~Stolen: A love Letter to my captor
The Last Time We Say Goodbye

Feel free to join Sam and I anytime you like, the link is riiiigggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhtttttttt here:   can’t miss it xD.
