Silence.

A few hours left.  Work needed doing, but I couldn’t think clearly.  It’s all a blur of white noise, clamouring, shouting, wrangling for my attention.   I hear the names I’m supposed to know.  The facts mash together into incomprehensible nonsense.  I couldn’t think.  There was so much noise.  And then it stops.  There’s just silence.
